About Us

History

Wendy and Wally Colson Colson Label came from humble beginnings and has grown into one of the South’s leading producers of machine- and hand-applied labels.
Our story began in 1962 as a small commercial printing company. After purchasing the business, Wally Colson moved the company to Valdosta, Georgia, where a commitment to quality, service and continued investment fueled decades of growth.
As Colson expanded, so did our capabilities. New facilities, acquisitions and investments in advanced printing and finishing technology allowed us to serve an increasingly diverse customer base throughout the Southeast and beyond.
In 1983, Wally’s son, Wendy Colson, joined the company and helped lead its continued growth into new markets. Over the years, labels became an increasingly important part of the business, eventually leading to the creation of Colson Label — a dedicated identity focused on serving the growing needs of label customers.
Today, Colson Label combines more than six decades of printing experience with modern label technology, including our 13-inch, 8-color Mark Andy flexographic press. From short-run specialty labels to high-volume machine-applied production, we provide labels built to perform — backed by the experience, craftsmanship and personal service that have defined the Colson name since 1962.
More than 60 years later, we’re still family-owned, still growing, and still committed to doing the job right.
